The headland acting as the western cape of the bay Baie du Cap in Mauritius south is not the southernmost point of the island, but it comes close. The beautiful bay contrasts with the landscape of mountains and forest in the most picturesque way, no hotels, no shopping mall, no sugarcane distracting the overall composition. The small settlement is as original and authentic as it gets in Mauritius, and the only social media compatible tourist attraction is Maconde Viewpoint at the tip of the headland, so, just take a photo and run.
